In the late afternoon, we pick you up from your hotel and proceed to Phnom Penh's riverfront where you board a traditional slow boat. Your English-speaking guide will explain some of the interesting sights along both sides of the river as you float along rivers where the past meets the present. On one side of the river you have the bustle of Phnom Penh with its tall commercial buildings and on the other the traditional countryside and Buddhist pagodas. As you pass villages with traditional floating houses and markets, you can also see the locals fishing along the riverside, and the small gardens they have maintained.
