Itinerary

VIETNAM MUSIC

Day 1 | Arrive Hanoi

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Today is mostly for your own leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

  Hanoi, The capital of Vietnam welcomes you with very special oriental beauty which lies in the lovely and friendly smiles of the locals you meet. During your holiday, you will stay at one of the well located hotels in the city center. It is near or within the old quarter, therefore you will find it easy to explore the vibrant life of a true Hanoian, go shopping and visit many cultural spots within easy walking distance.

Day 2 | Hanoi City Tour – Music exchanges

This day, we will visit some beautiful spots which are regarded as the heart and soul of Hanoi such as Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and Stilt House, and Ngoc Son Pagoda near Hoan Kiem Lake. In the afternoon, you will visit the Temple of Literature and take part in music exchanges with local people there. In the evening, enjoy a traditional music performance inside a traditional music style in house in a stunning theatre. So different to the puppet show a well kept secret!

Day 3 | Hanoi / Ha Long Bay

About a three and half hour drive from Hanoi (4hrs for the big bus with a half way rest stop), you will reach Halong Bay then board on a traditional junk for a fantastic cruise to explore the magnificent rock formations and grottos that this area is famous for. After lunch, take a rowing boat to visit one of the fishing villages on the bay. In the late afternoon, an optional Kayaking trip is available to discover more parts of the area on your own, or just relax and enjoy watching the sun go down. Dinner will be served on board with local seafood specialities.
 
 Halong is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site which should never be missed on a  visit to Vietnam. It has a lot of beautiful caves and grottoes around with characteristic limestone cliffs. It doesn’t matter whether you are a nature lover or not, this bay is truly majestic

Day 4 | Ha Long Bay / Hanoi

In the morning wake up early to enjoy the incredible tranquility and watch the sunrise over the limestone cliffs. After breakfast, our junk will continue its cruise among the breathtaking scenery and open your eyes, your mind and your ears the natural beauty. At 10am we’ll check out, have brunch and prepare for getting a leisurely drive back to Hanoi.

Day 5 | Hanoi/ Mai Chau – music exchanges

Leave Hanoi for the stunning valley town of Mai Chau in the morning. On arrival, check in to a local stilt house, enjoy some relaxing free time or take a 1-hour walk around this picturesque village. In the evening you will take part in music exchanges with local people.

 Visiting Mai Chau, you will truly experience the countryside of Vietnam.  The little village of Mai Chau is just a pleasure to visit, to meander through and see it at work. The houses made of bambooand wood, this is not like modern hotel in Hanoi but a very pleasant place for you to stay.

Day 6 | Mai Chau / Hanoi

After a traditional breakfast, start your walk to the local markets or through the countryside to village to discover the Thai Ethnic people and how they live their lives. After lunch, you are driven back to Hanoi.

Day 7 | Hanoi/Hue

After breakfast, you will take a short flight to Hue. On arrival, visit The Imperial Citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda and the final rest of Nguyen’s Poet-Emperors down the Perfume River in great harmony with nature. That evening, enjoy a traditional music performance on a boat in Hue.

Hue is famous with magnificent monuments and architecturally stunning  buildings. Located in the centre of Vietnam, with a simple life and pleasant local people, Hue brings to you a warm welcome feeling. This place is popular for travelers.

Day 8 | Hue / Hoian

Leaving Hue for the beautiful gtownship of Hoi An. En route we will stop over at Lang Co Beach which is as pretty as a picture with turquoise water, 10-km white sand beaches and a backdrop of seemingly endless mountains. Arrive in Hoi An at noon, we will check into your hotel and have free time for a nap or a swim at the hotel’s pool. Late afternoon you will enjoy a sunset boat cruise along Thu Bon River where you can watch the idyllic scenery go by along the waterways and see local fisherman getting on with their lives.

 Hoi An is called the “Ancient Town”, one of quietest cities in Vietnam with plenty of lantern shops, silk shops and tailors shops along the streets. Hoi An is one of the exciting and gaudy trading port centers of Southeast Asia from the 16th century. Hoi An is also known for Chinese and Japanese architecture and tasty central Vietnamese cuisine.

Day 9 | Hoi An free day

This whole day is dedicated to any activity that takes your interest - you might take a half day excursion to My Son Sanctuary, visit the nearby countryside by bicycle, or enjoy a full day trip to the pristine Cham Island for diving and snorkelling. Otherwise, stay in town for shopping and relaxing at the beach, or get a little lost wandering the quaint streets of the old town.

Day 10 | Hoi An / Ho Chi Minh City

Free time until you will be driven to the airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, you will be driven to your hotel and spend your half day city tour of Ho Chi Minh City.

 Ho Chi Minh City formerly named Saigon, is the largest city in Vietnam and much more crowded and exciting than Hanoi. It overcame the war history to become a modern and dynamic City. The boast of Saigon is it’s French Colonial architecture and wide boulevards.

Day 11 | Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong - Music exchanges

After a short 2-half hour ride Southwest from Saigon to Cai Be, we will board a luxury wooden boat to begin our journey to the rich agricultural land with the most hospitable people in Vietnam. The leisurely excursion will cover the unique and interesting Cai Be floating market with hundreds of boats filled with fruits, vegetables, and other products. En route, local families warmly receive us into their homes to discover how to make rice crackers, popcorn, pop rice and coconut candies. After lunch, we continue to cruise to Vinh Long where you will have more photo opportunities of different activities such as transporting rice, dredging sand, weaving palm leaves, pulling up fishing nets, etc. Especially, we will stop by the most famous nursery garden of a local farmer to sample some fruits to be picked fresh from his vine while enjoying traditional music.

Day 12 | Ho Chi Minh City departure

Your time will be your own until we take you to the airport for your departure flight.
